Safe eMail for little folk.
Help

  • Getting Started:
  • First you need to create a Parent / Guardian account.

Parent / Guardian accounts once created can request child accounts.

From the Main page you will see a link titled. "Create a Parent / Guardian Account"

You may receive a "Certificate" Error. If you do see Certificate Errors:

Click on this. Enter your First and Last name. Enter the email address you

    want registered with Papamail.com.

You must have an existing email address to create a Parent / Guardian account.

You will be presented with a Privacy Policy and a Policy for Terms of Use.

Read this. Click on the check box indicating that you have read the policys and continue.

Once this is done you will receive further instructions at your email address

on how to complete the creation of your Parent / Guardian account.

  • Registering a Child for Papamail:
  • Once you have your Parent / Guardian account created you can log into Papamail and

add a child or multiple children.

There is no limit on the number of child accounts you can have.

You can purchase child accounts here.

Once you have purchased an account you can go here for Child Membership.

Enter the first name and last name of the child. Click on the button labeled "Add Child".

Because this part of the procedure requires human intervention your child's actual

eMail account on Papamail.com does not get created immediately.

You will receive an email notifying you when your child's account is created.

  • Removing a Child from Papamail:
  • Click on the link for Child Membership.

There you will see a link in the box titled "Remove". Click on the link with your childs name

(Papamail will only show you children registered in your name.)

Once you click on this link you will be asked to confirm that you wish to

    remove this child from Papamail.

You will receive an email once this is completed.

  • Adding approved email addresses for your child:
  • After you have created your childs account his or her name will appear as a link

    on the Account Home page.

Click on this link and you will see a button labeled "Add eMail addresses".

Click on that and you are at the email entry screen. You may add up to

5 eMail addresses at a time.

There is no limit to the number of email addresses you can enter.

Add only approved email addresses here!

These are the only email addreses that will be allowed to send email to your child.

These are also the only email addreses that your child will be able to send emails to.

These email addresses will also be added to your child's address book in their email client.

  • Showing blocked email addresses:
  • Yes. Go to the Account Home page.

    Click on your childs name.

    Click Show Blocked eMail addresses.

If you want to unblock an address click on the checkbox and then click Approve.

This will take you to the screen used to add approved email addresses (See Above).

  • Deleting an approved email addresses for your child:
  • This is done from the Account Home page.

You will see a link for every email address you child has on their approved list

just click on the link for the one you wish to delete and follow the prompts.

  • The CC Option:
  • You can choose to be CC'd on every email your child recieves.

PapaMail enables this by default when you initally set up your childs account.

This can be enabled or disabled on the Account Home page.

  • I've been blocked:
  • You can request that the childs' parent or guardian consider allowing you to contact

their child via email. We have a form for this here.

  • I got a notice from a blocked person. What gives?
  • When a person who has been blocked uses the form mentioned above they

are not given any information beyond what they already have.

We send you the email, not the requesting user.

  • Signing up for Facebook type accounts:
  • Using a Papamail email account to sign up for other services is tricky but not impossible.

Your child should follow the sign up procedure on the service he or she wishes to join.

The service will send you a confirmation email. Because Papamail does not allow unsolicited email contact the

email will be rejected. Most likely the service on the other end will be a computer and will not

    respond to the rejected email.

You can now review blocked emails to your child and use the utility provided to add the registration email

address to your childs accept list and then return to the service sign up screen and make it resend the

confirmation email. An example is shown here.

Notice the link that says 'Resend confirmation email.'

You will likely need to do this for notifications.

  • Pricing:
  • Papamail Parent / Guardian accounts are free. There are no email privileges with

    Parent / Guardian accounts..

Child accounts are $15 per year for the first account.

Additional child accounts are $12 for same family accounts.
